I was very chuffed to get the latest Wargames Illustrated (WI 467, Nov 2026) which contains an article by myself and Ryan Lavelle of the University of Winchester.
I consulted Ryan for help with the historical background and map used in From Athelney to Ethandun – the sample historical campaign included in Chronicles of Midgard – and the article looks at how we combined history and gaming.
James Griffiths at WI took some cracking photos of my collection to illustrate the article too!
