The 28mm Troy project came about by stealth, as I started collecting the Lucid Eye Amazons during their regular sales and eventually ended up with enough for a Midgard Heroic Battles Force.
Given that Amazons appear as allies of the Trojans in the final stages of the siege of Troy, it felt right and proper to collect a Force of Achaeans to oppose them.
These largely came from the Foundry and Casting Room ranges after I bought a secondhand collection that I was offered, supplemented by some Lucid Eye, Newline Designs and Eureka Miniatures.
Not content with this, I also experimented with some fantastical Ethiopians for King Memnon – another late arrival to the Trojan Wars.
A new Midgard scenario called Over My Dead Body then appeared at Britcon and Ebor Lard in 2024, followed by an outing to CrackCon6 (the Plastic Crack Podcast’s annual gaming day).
The project isn’t done yet as I have a hankering to add Sea Peoples and Trojans in the future…
