This was a seriously large El Cid game that we played in March 2013 at the Cannon wargames show in Retford. Using the Hail Caesar rules, we roared through this huge battle in just a few hours. It did help that El Cid rolled amazing dice – his cavalry unit travelled about eight feet across the table, destroying Almoravid units left and right! A heroic day out with some great company.
