The first ever Midgard Moot event is due to take place at Boards And Swords Hobbies (Derby, UK) on Saturday 26th April 2025. This event will give you an opportunity to play in a variety of settings, all using the Midgard Heroic Battles rules from Reisswitz Press.

To secure your place, please email me at mogsymakes@gmail.com, including which of the three options below that you wish to take part in and your full name (plus the same for anyone else that you are booking for). The cost of the event is £20 per person which includes all activities for the day, a hot drink when you arrive and pizza at lunchtime. Payment will be due upon booking, which can be sorted out by PayPal or bank transfer.
Once I have received your booking and payment, I will send confirmation by email within 48 hours. Refunds will not be made on non-attendees unless agreed in advance with myself.
Event Options
To enable the narrative play that is part and parcel of Midgard, the event will have three different options, one of which you will choose when booking. You can download the details of each option below.
Hosted Games (max 20 places available)
These games are traditional ‘Lardy Day’ style participation games where you will have everything provided and the game run for you by an experienced host!
Warlords of Dumnonia: Arthurian 28mm Themed Campaign (max 14 places available)
Midgard author and 7th century spear enthusiast James Morris will be running this themed campaign, taking its inspiration from Bernard Cornwell’s Warlord Chronicles trilogy. You’ll need to bring your own 300 point Force for this campaign, though one or two Forces may be available to borrow if you let us know when you book.
Of Cirion and Eorl: Middle-earth 28mm Themed Campaign (max 10 places available)
This themed campaign is the brain child of Midgard play tester and Tolkien fan David Hunter, taking place in the Third Age of Middle-earth before the events of the Lord of the Rings. If you want to get your orcs and Easterlings on the table, now’s your chance! You’ll need to bring your own 300 point Force for this campaign, though, again, one or two Forces may be available to borrow if you let us know when you book.
